- I'll be uploading \~**50+** movies and book quotes to SCB this week!
- I wrote an OCR layer for storing URLs in YCB (lot of acronyms in that sentence). The raison d'être being that for some inane reason people put the text for their short videos on the thumbnail instead of the description. This is likely because TikTok feeds people in a grid of images, instead of a list of text.

- I have **so much work to do** before we launch the public beta, but I've narrowed it down to the feature set below:

#### Beta

**nb: here at ycb, we like to organize our features by their functionality. the below list is organized in that fashion, where the functions are: store, search, synthesize, and share.*

- store
- - quick capture from ios or chrome
  - store urls, text, and images
  - all entries are automatically embedded
  - API scripts to store from cmd + space on your keyboard, when you take a screenshot on your Mac, Spotify, Letterboxd, Readwise and more
- search
- - search as you type
  - semantic search and semantic scroll
  - jump to entries
  - - by date (show me all entries on Christmas last year)
    - randomly (show me any entry from YCB)
    - from the log of your most recently updated entries
- synthesize
- - add your personal context to entries with comments
  - - comments are embedded too!
    - any type (image, url, text) can be a comment
    - thread entries through multiple levels
  - Google Docs integration
- share
- - store entries to Your Commonbase from Share Commonbase
  - upload your personal collections to Share Commonbase
  - export/backup your data to CSV
