Building

What I'm building this week:

60 Books a Year Short Videos

I started some social media channels!

I'm reviewing all the books I read in 2025 (a backfill). I'm attempting to make these impersonal and useful to the general public by breaking them into two (three?) sections: questions the book answers, and a section on the value the book provides a modern reader.

Cleaning and Audiobook Habit

I'm working this week on setting aside an hour or so in the mid-afternoon to turn on an audiobook and clean my apartment.

Two birds with one stone!

BoardWalk and Talk

An idea that came to me while I was lying in bed.

I think it would be cool to have a semi-public, semi-private invitation for people who live in New York City to come walk to Coney Island or Manhattan Beach with me.

For the conversations that would be public, I would record them with an audio recorder or microphone and then transcribe them into text interviews to upload to the website.

And for the conversations that would be private, it would just be a great way to do an activity and form a one-on-one relationship with somebody in the city.

Still embryonic as an idea, but playing around with what it could be.

Gym??

Too cold? Probably. Should I still go? Probably. I haven't been in a while 🍒

Using

What I'm using this week:

Layers App

Another installment in my series of trying to think about book tech. This one feels like it could be pretty useful, but I'm going to see how it shakes out in terms of my usage over the next couple weeks.

My plan is to take one highlight from each book I read each day and augment it with Layers.

Book Progress

This has been a super small but super used application that I've made. It's just really nice to be able to see visually your progress that you've made, especially if you employ parallel reading like I do.
