Grievances: NYS Tax Page Broken

Problem

All the NYS.gov tax pages look like this:

Solutions

1. Call them: 518-457-5181
2. (If I worked there) Allow for online users to submit tickets

Problem II: IRS Failed at Inputting Correct Account Number for Payment Plan

Stuck in this pattern for months now.

I tried calling them. Very unhelpful. It was their fault in the first place.

Solutions:

1. Fill out Form 9465 (https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-9465) and fax it to them AND pay $50
2. Eat dirt and pay manually, allow the plan to sit in pending until the heat death of the universe (I'm going with this option)
3. (If I worked there) Minimize the information gap between a phone call and a online page that allows for little/no actions
   1. Secure form uploader. Assuming fax in 2026 is so cringe.
