Housekeeping

  • Sign up to the Your Commonbase waitlist if you haven't!
  • I'll be uploading ~50+ movies and book quotes to SCB this week!
  • I wrote an OCR layer for storing URLs in YCB (lot of acronyms in that sentence). The raison d'être being that for some inane reason people put the text for their short videos on the thumbnail instead of the description. This is likely because TikTok feeds people in a grid of images, instead of a list of text.

Example:

{
  "title": "dooney and broke (@fincherslay) on X",
  "author": "https://x.com/fincherslay/status/1923810112902221964",
  ->> "ocrData": [
    "pov you started water based cooking",
    "and now your skin is clear,your",
    "stomach is thriving and yourecover",
    "from illness overnight"
  ], <<-
  "ogTitle": "dooney and broke (@fincherslay) on X",
  "ogImages": [
    "https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GrK_GfcXYAADWp_.jpg:large"
  ],
  "ogDescription": "water based cooking"
}
