Well Read Training

A one on one personal training to improve your reading system

Personal Training for Becoming Well Read
If you want to take your reading books practice more seriously, this form is for you. My name is Bram and I read 60 books a year, and create software and strategies (strategies include parallel reading, question based reading, smart skimming, spaced repetition, letting books go, and more) to help people become serious readers. My focus is on comprehension and throughput of any material, fiction or non-fiction, and synthesizing concepts from books into daily life. If this interests you, below I’ll need you to explain where you currently are with your reading by answering questions including, but not limited to: what kind of books you read, how many books you read in an average year, why you read, why you want to read more, the state of your existing note taking systems, your comfort with digital reading, your phone and internet habits, how often you test yourself from material you read, etc. Next, please elaborate on where you want to be with your reading after work with me. This could include, but is not limited to: reading more frequently/setting up a daily practice, reading the entire body of work of a favorite author, being able to reference book quotes and concepts in conversation, being confident in your ability to understand a complex subject through its literature, creating a note taking system that lasts a lifetime, etc. If there’s a fit between us and I believe that I could help you, I’ll reach out over the email you provide from my email (bram@bramadams.dev). The training itself will consist of a 1:1 Zoom call where we go through your current reading system as a whole, and find where you could get the most growth in terms of comprehension and throughput. From there we will set up a follow up call (or calls, depending) after a period of time has passed (~a month or two) to see how the changes have fared in reality. Reading is a critical and rare skill to have in our time, and being able to read critically is even more rare. Best, Bram
